FIFA World Cup- Technically Speaking

FIFA World Cup commenced from 12 of June 2014 and there starts the festive season. With better stadiums, better anticipation, this FIFA World Cup also is technically very strong and better. In Fact, in this FIFA World Cup, we have overcome the goal's debates and fights by technology. By putting UHD cameras at strategic locations, we have made home a better location to see the match. We have proved that we can achieve anything by using technology. I would like to tell you about 4 ways, how it is technically one of the strongest World Cups-   
Goal Line Technology
Was it a goal, or wasn't it?
The question shouldn't need to be debated in the next five weeks in Brazil, where goal-line technology will be used for the first time in a World Cup.
Fourteen cameras - seven trained on each goalmouth - have been hung up in all 12 World Cup stadiums. The cameras will record 500 images per second, and a computer will digest the frames. Within a second of a ball crossing the line, the referee's special watch will vibrate and flash "GOAL."
End of the debate? It should be. The designer of the system says 2,400 tests have been run in Brazil, without a mistake.

Technology In Ball!
Technology will get a new meaning in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil as the Brazuca balls to be used in the mega event will come with six in-built HD cameras capturing 360 degree view of the on-field action. Encapsulating everything that's Brazil and its passion for the game, the ball has shades of blue, orange and green, and stars on it reflecting the vibrancy and flair associated with the game in the Mecca of football. 
Vanishing foam
In a bid to prevent teams from illegally gaining ground at free-kicks, referees at the tournament will be armed with small canisters of vanishing foam. The biodegradable white substance will be sprayed on the pitch to mark where free-kicks should be taken from and the 10-yard distance that the opposition's defensive wall must observe. Known as Aero Comex Futline, the substance dissolves within a minute. "Players respect it," says Australian referee Ben Williams. "It's a great innovation and I'm looking forward to using it."
Ultra High Definition television
The 2014 World Cup will be the first tournament to be partly captured in Ultra High Definition (UHD), which boasts a resolution approximately four times higher than conventional High Definition television and requires a satellite network capable of handling 100 megabits of data per second. The tournament is seen as a trial run for the technology, which is not yet widely available.

The Influence Of Women- Corporate Sector

Since decades women have been discriminated, especially in India,where beliefs are too strong to be broken and people too uneducated to understand! However, we have successfully reduced the amount of discrimination and come to stage where women are no less than men, especially in the corporate sector, where Pepsi is headed by Indra Nooyi and ICICI Bank is headed by Chanda Kochhar and........  

Women CEOs in India

There many examples of women in India making a vital contribution to corporate leadership. They have used a special combination of individual competence, industry knowledge and management skills to make it to the top.

We do not need to have a woman President (last former President), woman Speaker of the Lok Sabha, and a woman President of the opposition party in government to announce the fact that women in India have arrived. Women have always played an effective role in politics, powerful forces right from the days of Rani of Jhansi, and Sarojini Naidu to Indira Gandhi. But it is in the broader context of the social and eco­nomic milieu that women in India are now slowly coming into their own. Despite the Diverted rulings of a village court (khap panchayats) banning women from using mobiles or exposing their faces in public, or the rants and raves of misdirected fundamentalists persecuting women at bars and pubs, and inspite of a global study conducted by Reuters terming India "fourth most dangerous country" in the world for women, there are today thousands of examples to celebrate Indian women's remarkable achievements in practically every walk of life. Indian women are flying planes, fighting criminals, saving lives and running companies, so it is not surprising that today India has the world's largest number of professionally qualified women - more female doctors, surgeons, scientists, lawyers and professors than even the United States. More than that, they are even excelling in what has predominately been "a man's world", that of business and management.

The Glass Ceiling Broken

Professional women in India have broken the glass ceiling and have started making impressive strides. Women CEOs in India currently head eleven percent of 240 large compa­nies-Indian-owned as well as multina­tional, private as well as state-owned according to a study carried out be executive search firm EMA Partners. In comparison, only three percent of the Fortune 500 companies have women CEOs.

The largest number of women CEOs today in India is in the finance and banking sector where the country's second-biggest bank, ICICI Bank, and its third-largest, Axis Bank are headed by women. Chanda Kochhar is the Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank, while ex-ICICI Prudential Chief Shikha Sharma heads Axis Bank. In addition there is Kalpana Morparia as Country Head of JPMorgan, Naina Lai Kidwai at HSBC and Meera Sanyal at ABN Amro. Manisha Girotra heads UBS, Ashu Suyash

Fidelity International in India and half of the deputy governors at the Reserve Bank of India are women.

What's more - eleven percent of the Indian women CEOs are in the media and another 11 percent in Pharmaceuticals. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is the Chairman and Managing Director of Biocon and Preetha Reddy, Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise. Eight percent of women CEOs are in consulting and another eight percent in FMCG and consumer durables with names like Vinita Bali of Britannia and Nadia Chauhan of Parle Agro. Women are also heading manufacturing and IT companies - the largest personal computer company in the country, Hewlett-Packard, is headed by Neelam Dhawan. If this can-not illustrate woman power in India, nothing can.

Indra Nooyi

To add lustre to this list is the name of Indra Nooyi, CEO of Pepsi worldwide, possibly the most successful business woman in the world, who may be based in the US, but did her schooling and college in India. Listed as one of the most influential female CEOs for the past six years in Forbes Fortune 500, Nooyi completed an MBA from the Indian   Institute of Management Calcutta, and then went on to Yale University where she studied a Master's degree in Public and Private Management before she began working for Pepsi Co in 1994. In only seven years Nooyi was appointed President and CFO of the company, and there has been no looking back for her after that.

In a country where parents in some areas still prize boys over girls, where overall female literacy rates are poor, and when even top Bollywood heroines quit acting after marriage, the wealth of women in business and management, particularly banking may seem surprising. Today, India Inc has woken up to a surreal surge of women executives taking the reigns of companies – multinational, private and public sector, family-owned, entrepreneurial, - closing in on the apparent gender gap that has kept them captive for decades. Hope lies in every second passing for a better,safer,unbiased India towards women!!!!

Light Emitting Solar Cell And Its Accidental Discovery

Scientists from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore have developed a photovoltaic material which, as well converting light to electricity, can also emit light. According to the researchers, this new type of solar cell could be used to make display screens that also function as solar panels.
The cell was developed using perovskite, a material being investigated for creating high-efficiency, inexpensive solar cells. The discovery of its light emitting capabilities happened almost by accident, when researcher Xing Guichuan shone a laser on the perovskite cell. To the research team's surprise, the solar cell glowed brightly. This is a significant finding as most solar cell materials are effective at absorbing light, not generating light.
"What we have discovered is that it can capture light particles and convert them to electricity, or vice versa," said team member Sum Tze Chien. "By tuning the composition of the material, we can make it emit a wide range of colors, which also makes it suitable as a light emitting device, such as flat screen displays."
Now the question arises is this discovery useful as well as important? I completely agree with the fact that a successful invention is one which has no disadvantages and a lot of advantages. Today, we don't use solar cells because of its high price. But the solar cell made up of perovskite will be very economical. As written above, it has the capabilities of converting,both, light into energy and also  energy into light. Now, if we make out a digital display screen out of this, it will be a screen and also a solar panel. I think this discovery will stand as a milestone in the history of technology!!!

The Idea Of Time Travel- The World Of Universe

Have you ever imagined yourself in a spacecraft or on the rough surface of Moon? Even I wouldn't have thought about this if I had not read this book of Stephen Hawking. It consists of all the interesting things in the world of universe. Out of all these things, something which I read was so fascinating that I just couldn't wait to write it here. And there all of it written below-
Before introducing you to the world of time travel,there's some information that qualifies you to read the further part.

  • Everything in our Universe takes time to travel, even light.
  • In space, light always travels at the maximum speed that is possible: 186,000 miles per second (300,000 km per second). This speed is called the speed of light
  • When light leaves the Sun, it takes about 8 minutes and 30 seconds to reach us on Earth. However, this is considered a very small duration of time, though it travels approximately  1,53,00,00,000 km !!!
  • Though the distance between Sun and The Earth is 1,53,00,00,000, still it is the closest  star to the Earth. In fact, the second closest star to the Earth which is Proxima Centauri, is 40280 billion km away.
  • Due to these large distances in space, distance is measured in terms of light-years, which is the distance light travels in one year. A light-year is almost 6,000 billion miles (around 9,500 billion km). Therefore, it takes approximately 4.24 years for light to reach from Proxima Centauri to Earth at the speed of 300,000 km per second!!!!!!! 











This world is made up of fascinating things and I hope I proved that in the previous 10 or 15 lines. But how is all this stuff related to time travel? For this you need to think creatively, scientifically and innovatively. What I am going to explain next was thought by Einstein. I just modified all that science into simple logic, just for you. There is nothing in the laws of physics to prevent time travel. It may be extremely difficult to put into practice; but it is not impossible.

1) What we are seeing now has taken place before?
Let us assume that we see the nebula of a star just now. This nebula is tens of millions of kilometers away. Therefore it will take several years for light to reach our eyes. Therefore, what we saw just now has already taken place  several years before. Similarly sun has rose 8 minutes 30 seconds prior to when we see it. 

2)If the rays of light meet our eyes before other eyes,we can see the event before others.
We see an event when the light rays from the event enter the retina of our eyes. Now when we are going in a spaceship and we are on the path that light has taken from the nebula to the Earth. Therefore, light from the nebula will reach our eyes. This means that we will see the nebula, however the people on Earth won't be able to see this nebula.

3) Can someone see an event two times?
Now,let us imagine that we turn when we see the nebula. Now if we travel with light (at its speed), towards the Earth, then we will reach Earth before the rays of light. Therefore, this means that we can see the nebula again when we reach Earth.

4) Seeing something two times is time travel.
Everything in this world happens once. We a particular nebula's sight only once. However, if you see it twice than you seen it, once before it has taken place and the other time when it takes place. Therefore, we were there at the moment when an event has not taken place and still we saw it. This means that we have seen the future. Hence, we have time traveled.

5) CONCLUSION- We Can Time Travel If We Can Travel At More Speed Than Light.
In the above point I have proved that we can time travel, but there is always one condition to every big invention. Here, it is that you need travel at a speed which is higher than light's speed. But why? As I told you in the 3rd point that we will see it two times only if we travel towards the Earth with light or faster than light.
Therefore, we can time travel if we invent a vehicle which can travel at a higher speed than light!!!!!!!Now just tell me what could be more fascinating than that!!!
